Winter View Inverpolly

Drumrunie, Inverpolly, Scotland.

At the edge of Loch Drumrunie on the fringe of the Inverpolly Reserve. The water was like grey turgid slush having almost frozen. The naked birch had been coated with snow and the distant peak of Stac pollaidh jutted skyward into low clouds for an almost monochromatic feel. An evergreen rhodedendron adding the only splash of colour.
