Castle Stalker a few miles north of Oban on the coast road is not perhaps the most beautiful, indeed it is a squat cubic lump of a building. fortunately being sited on a small green plinth in the middle of a west facing loch has it's compensations. On a fine May morning the rising tide seeped relentlessly over rocks with hardly a ripple being present permitting an almost perfect reflection of the castle in a magnificent clear blue sky flecked with clouds.
