As the sun set behind the Scots Pine copse seated upon a grassy cnoc on open farm land, the contrast levels dropped shooting directly into the light permitting considerably improved shadow detail and thence displaying some orange inverted crepuscular rays emanating from the last vestiges of sunset scattered in a diverging fan of light through the clouds above descending rays of light from lens flare courtesy of the small aperture used. A serendipitous moment where lens flare arguably adds something to the shot
