As dawn progressed the clouds above Les Drus near Chamonix started to lose their colour and began to act as a screen onto which was projected the summit crags and spires of Les Drus, those tortured shapes would twist and distort the shadowed outline of those peaks and crags with the shifting clouds and the ever changing angle of the incident light from the rising sun. It was fascinating to watch and really quite awe inspiring to behold and photograph
