The woods at Roseisle are right next to a gorgeous sandy beach on the Moray Coast and comprised almost completely of Pines with long slender straight trunks that stretch far above to an evergreen canopy. The spacing of the trees is not linear as it is in most similar woodlands nor is it particularly dense so it does let sunlight filter through and on rare summer evenings the red light of a setting sun filters its way through from the coast and ignites the red flaky trunks such that they glow fiercely in the tangential sunlight.
