I had come across this scene the year before but the conditions were not great so this year at the same month knowing that the straw fields would have been recently cut I tried once more arriving just before sunset in the hope of getting some colour in the sky in combination with a sea haar (mist). For a change everything came together but the haar was so dense that the lighthouse disappeared from view so I gave up and returned to my van for a wee break and to my surprise and eternal gratitude I eventually got what I hoped for. Incredibly soft light falling on the flanks of the bales of straw beneath an umbrella of softly coloured pink sky. Hope you like it.
