On Bastille day just about every local town and village in France celebrates by having a firework display. It seems though that France don't mess about they seem to revel in the epic and send up everything including the cat and the dog all at once. Honestly though even the tiniest village seemed to put on the most fantastic displays. The best thing about this show was the setting, a lovely wee lake in a local park, the alpine backdrop admittedly concealed by darkness and an enthusiastic audience in front of a tiered grassy bank to sit on with a tripod and survey the scene. I hope you enjoy the sequence of colour and light.
