One of the prettiest yet relatively unknown glens in Scotland must surely be Glen Cannich, whilst Glen Affric tends to win all the accolades it is in Glen Cannich that I most often find the shots I crave. This one spot on the river Cannich is a favourite of mine particularly late in the afternoon on a fine and colourful autumn day like this one. The hillside opposite is dashed with green and gold from pine and larch whilst the bracken rust red and the grasses provide a further rainbow of assorted colours. These are frequently reflected in the languid metallic river along with the single rounded tree. In this case nicely silhouetted.
