Clair Sunset

Loch Clair, Torridon, Scotland

It isn't very often that a sunset in the Torridon hills matures into something so dramatically colourful or shapely, part of the time I was even lucky enough to see it partially double up in reflection. Unfortunately it has to be said that the contrast ratios of the most colourful areas remained very high throughout so I optimised my exposures as much as possible in camera. The electric red fringes of the clouds suffused with orange and gold between clear blue sky and billowing low cloud was spectacular to behold.
