Chocolate Ripple

Loch Osgaig, Inverpolly, Scotland

The Inverpolly skyline is one of the finest in Scotland with most of the distinctive peaks on show and nicely separated across the horizon. Stac Pollaidh is the wee pointy one on the left, with assorted mountains in the Coigach to the right. I came across this little red sand fresh water beach at the edge of Loch Osgaig close to a boat shed and thought it made a superb leading line and a a delicious foreground texture of rippled sand beneath the peaty waters.
