Luskentyre bay is quite possibly the most astounding beach in the whole of the British Isles. It goes on forever, is backed by sand dunes the water changes both depth and colour beneath an immense open sky and then perhaps best of all there is a mountain backdrop which on this magnificent Spring morning is spattered with new snow after a passing squall obliterated the view. This lovely scene all hangs together by virtue of that meandering green stream carving its way across the beach toward the mountains.
