Cold Twilight

Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Scotland

45 minutes before sunrise on a sparkling clear winter morning with not a breath of wind and temperatures hovering around minus 6 degrees Celcius I positioned myself with the small group of photographers I was leading at a familiar pool on Rannoch moor. The grasses were brittle with hoar frost and the water surface frozen across with the mountains glowing with surreal brilliance in the midnight blue of twilight.

Check out the new TRANSIENT LIGHT Photographic Holidays on my website together with a whole lot of other work at Transient Light.
