Grand Scenic Torridon

Tom Na Gruigaich, Torridon, Scotland

A birthday hike with my wife and two children to the summit of Tom Na Gruigaich to witness my favourite high mountain view in the whole of Scotland. From the summit, and I should add only from the summit, the mountains of Beinn Alligin, the Horns of Alligin, Beinn Dearg, Beinn Eighe and Liathach are laid out like a topological map. Ben my young son is standing on the left, the rest of the family were sheltering from a very cold wind behind some rocks. I waited for what little sunlight there was to break through and paint the summit slopes of Beinn Alligin.

Check out the new TRANSIENT LIGHT Photographic Holidays on my website together with a whole lot of other work at Transient Light.
