Castle Stalker is a bit of a square lump of a castle but it has a teriffic location standing on a tiny island in the middle of Loch Appin and silhouetted against a mountain backdrop. Depending on your viewing angle you can opt to shoot it against an anticpated west coast sunset and that is exactly what I opted to do as the sky turned gold then red suffused with crimson and pink. It was one of the best I have seen here and I lapped it up like a hungry kitten after a saucer of milk.
