There are numerous caves dotted around the Moray coast but easily the most spectacular and colourful are those found at low tide around Cove Bay and Cummingston. This one has collected a cargo of precious stones that stand out like multi-coloured jewels on the soft wet sand beach. The emerald mouth of the cave with its red algae throat is a truly splendid container to house the stone jewellery.
