Inverpolly Ruby

Loch an Ais, Assynt, Scotland

I decided to portray this larger than normal because of it's almost panoramic appearance.

A beautiful early Spring morning but a surprisingly chilly one thanks to a largely clear sky and zero wind. The grasses and reeds had a layer of frost associated with them and I was treated to a fine display of alpen glow on the Inverpolly mountains including Coigach, Stac Pollaidh and Cul Mor. The sky was a deep blue and was duly reflected in the water which itself was punctuated by motionless reeds. Very memorable.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses and the 2014 Transient Light Calendars are still available at TRANSIENT LIGHT
