Buachaille Gold

Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Scotland

Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Scotland

A rim of winter frost rings the rocks and the banks of a shallow tumbling stream that obligingly points to the pyramidial peak of the Buachaille etive mor, probably Scotland's most iconic peak. A superb morning brought with it sharply etched winter sunlight that seared the yellow grasses so that they shone bright gold against a cloud dappled blue sky.
