Torrisdale Dunes

Torrisdale Bay, Sutherland, Scotland

Rarely have I been to a location that is more evocative. It's rarely visited being a fair walk in, but the dunes and lonely beach are to my mind, unbelievably beautiful. The sense of desolation is most strongly felt high up on the dunes at sunset where the wash of soft light filtered by cloud creates a wonderous palette of soothing colour.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses and fine art cards are now available at TRANSIENT LIGHT
