This is the first in the series of the Loch Lurgainn shots and the most insanely colourful of the lot though not my favourite but you can't exactly ignore something like this, so for completion this is the set of three and the only upright shot.
A fabulous winter morning burst forth into one of the most phenomenal sunrises I have ever had the good fortune to witness. Time was short and I needed to find a suitable spot quickly which took advantage of the unusually still conditions on the expanse of Loch Lurgainn. This view took advantage of the reflection and the curve of the road while the marching birch scrub silhouetted in the foreground gave me just enough foreground interest to bind the fabulous scene together.
