On a chilly December morning I found myself exploring familiar territory at the edge of Lochan N' Achlaise gazing towards the snow capped Blackmount and their near perfect reflection in the oily black peat laden water. It was several degrees below zero yet the ice had not formed on the water surface even though the ground at the edge of the loch was virtually frozen solid. These are conditions that I find myself drawn too regularly had the air been clearer earlier that morning at sunrise I am sure I would have gort something even more special.
