Harris Gold

Traigh Mhor, Harris, Scotland

Just prior to an Atlantic storm bursting onto Traigh Mhor beach some of the finest light I have ever experienced washed over its golden sands and turned the islands beyond to burnished gold. After three shots I was forced to shelter the camera from driving rain and just one of those exposures was timed perfectly to the peak traverse of a breaking wave acting as a line to the horizon beyond.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses and the 2011 Transient Light Calendars and fine art cards are now available at TRANSIENT LIGHT

Incredibly beautiful.
The gold and blue colour range is just marvellous.
Well done you for shielding the camera, and capturing this beauty.
