Quiraing

Quiraing, Skye, Scotland

The shimmering overhanging mountain ash or Rowan tree stands out aginst the shaded velvet green table cloth of the beautiful Quiraing. Although summer is one of my least favourite seasons to visit as I prefer less greens it was nice to see such beautiful light lending teriffic depth to the image and the few sprigs of August heather offered some visual relief.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses and the 2011 Transient Light Calendars and fine art cards are now available at TRANSIENT LIGHT

I can only imagine how this would look with good light early in the morning.
I'm off to Skye some time in Nov with the 6x7 and 6x12 cameras, praying for good weather.
