Frozen Duffus

Duffus Castle, Moray, Scotland

Duffus Castle has long been a favourite of mine - anything ruined gets my vote. In bright winter sunshine the castle looks particularly stunning and then its simply a matter of arriving at the right time of day shooting from the right aspect, being lucky enough to find a thin dusting of snow on the hill leading up to it and then waiting for a tiny gap when the sledgers aren't careering down the hill side. So not much problem there then.

As much as I like the shot, I find myself wanting to emore of the context.... This is more of an image as a "visual story" comment.

Beautiful shot especially with that blue sky. Nothing like an eye-catching blue/yellow colour pallette!
