Rucked up and folded like the green beize of a snooker table the lumpy weathered Jurassic landscape of the Quiraing is laid out before a rising sun which illuminates the belly of some low clouds turning them red prior to its assault on the slopes themselves. The soft indirect light coming from the sky is excellent for revealing texture and shape without blocking up the shadows to jet black thus maximising the detail apparent.
