Storr Pinnacles

Old Man of Storr, Skye, Scotland

These glorious basalt rock pinnacles on the east coast of Skye are about an hours climb from the roadside carpark around a 1000 feet below. A dawn visit yields the best light and I simply waited for a skein of soft light to pass over the pinnacles to lift the vivid colours of the grass slopes a notch or two.

A wee tribute to Emmanuel a good friend and winner of LPOTY he was on top of the cliff above me while I was shooting this wonderful view.
