Strawberries & Cream

Torridon, Highlands, Scotland.

Such glorious tranquil conditions yet a minute earlier a winter squall whisked through and the mountains were lost in a maelstrom of snow and hail. Now once again the sun finds its way through and the shallow loch settles down to mirror purity and is drenched in strawberry light. These transient conditions lasted but a minute or so then the light flickered and died.

One of my favorite mountains, looking resplendant here! (I once pitched my tent on those grassy flats, walked to the pub, and came back to find that the incoming tide had rendered my tent on a tiny island about 30 metres out to sea!)
