Lichen Pavement

Hopeman, Moray, Scotland.

Geologically Hopeman offers a truly remarkable and colourful coast line particularly with its brightly coloured and weathered sandstone formation ranging from twisted pock marked towers of all shapes and sizes to rocks that look like they are composed out of stacked coins. A tesselated and highly weathered lichen pavement makes an interesting variation against the dark sandstone hulk of Daisy rock behind.
