Halcyon Days

Bassenthwaite, Cumbria, Lake District, England.

From the top of Latrigg Fell you get very fine views across Derwent Water and normally a somewhat less interesting view along the valley towards Bassenthwaite. However I was blessed with a low hanging sky on a sultry summer evening and finally just when I'd all but given up, the sun dropped below and lit the underside of the clouds imparting a magnificent rosy glow to the sky.

NEW!! Photographic Holidays at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

Wow! What a gorgeous sky, and a perfect compliment to the lush valley below. Great capture Ian.
