Ghent at 8 o'clock in the evening when we were sitting on a terrace for dinner.
This picture shows part of the medieval harbour of Ghent.
The building on the left is the oldest step-gabled building in the world (Roman style, anno 1200).
It used to be a wheatstorage. The old street level is at -1. The front is leaning over, not my camera :)
First to the right of it is the guildhall of the wheat measurers (Flemish Renaissance, 1698),
2nd to the right is the guildhall of the free bargemen (Brabant Gothic, 1531).
