We visited to Alnwick Castle a site for Harry Potter films. The castle had a beautiful Intalianate interior including beautifully carved wood panelling and priceless old masters. There were eight Canalettos one of which was a painting of the castle commisioned by the duke of the period. Understandably, photography was forbidden inside the building. Nearby we visted the impressive new Alnwick Garden developed by the Duchess of Northumberland.
