The 70s in Black and White

When I started in photography around 1975, I used my father's Ricoh Dia L twin lens reflex with 120 format roll film, later moving to a Konica T3 35mm SLR. I did my own developing and printing at home, using an ancient Kodak enlarger. I have copied some of my early photos into digital format.

I came to this gallery after being drawn to your work by the recently posted Ottawa bell tower picture which showed a striking graphic(al?) sense. In this gallery, the unique view of Toronto's City Hall and the carnival shot are especially impressive, and show that your you've had a good eye for a long time.

Love the age and quality of these prints far more visceral then my development of digital black and whites it is nice what i should strive for.
