Everyone brought their appetite for Agri-Cuisine made from farm fresh food and their grocery list and headed to the Heart of the Hudson Valley Farmers Market, located in Milton, NY, where the market hosted its first "Follow the Chef" series, on Saturday August 15th.
Joel Trocino, chef of Amici's Restaurant in Poughkeepsie, a winner of the "Best of the Bounty Fest" Agri-Culinary Competition, took shoppers through the market to select farm fresh produce, bread, fruit & wine, which he used in his demonstration on how to bring the natural goodness of the farms bounty to your dinner table to create a healthy Agri-Cuisine for you and your family.
After the demonstration, visitors listened to live music near the pond at our picnic tables and/or grabbed a cup of coffee or a cold drink and completed their grocery list by shopping at the booths offering farm fresh organic vegetables, fruit, granola, baked goods and artisan breads, homemade jams and jellies, honey, eggs, butter, cheeses, meat and so much more.
