Jay Cooke State Park

I arrived at the park at 8:30AM on Oct. 4, 2008 with my one friend of mine. We stopped at Oldenburg Point and followed a trail to the river. We walked carefully on rocks on the river and reach the front of one large wafer fall. Fog still covered the river. The rocks, wafer falls and colorful trees are impressive. We then went to the park visitor center and asked one officer about interesting sites in the parks at 10:30AM. We spent around 2 hours on Carlton trail near Swing Bridge. It seems to be the most popular area. WWW.Exploreminnesota.COM expected peak color in the park happened on Oct. 4 and 5, 2008, however, the trees appeared to be at least one week before peak color. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/jay_cooke/index.html
