I drop off of Green Mtn into the Four Craters area. Here is just a sample of the 70' deep, 2 mile long "Crack in the Ground". Simply a stress fracture from tectonic movement you can still see how the sides would fit perfectly together if pressed together again. I find that a "burp" reverberates nicely in the crevace.
