Most of these were taken in the mid 1980s.

I have an 81 cb 900 custom with actual 10000 miles. Purchased from an 84 yr old man, only owner. I am putting it up for sale, reluctanly. Anyone interested? Stored indoors and well cared for. This is a real bike, hang on to her.

Hi all: Race Bannon here I have an 82 CB900SS with 32K miles at the moment its my daily driver I traded an old 74 240D mercedes that was rusted out for it title-to-title, I traded an old 22 pistole for the car so essentially I have been driving 6 years on a 200 dollar trade haha. The Honda is in good shape mechanically a bit rusty and worn but she runs great with a little bit of TLC.

hey everybody, well i am the proud owner of a 81 900 custom, was passed to me when my father died, in much need of some tlc, there are a couple of places that i have found for parts, mikes cycle parts in oregon is the best so far, they specialize in obsolete japenese bikes, and the have a website, check on google, there is also a parts finder website too! well i have to go and put some more miles on, kinda cool, not many people can say they have been riding the same bike since they were 7, lol got it with 10,000 miles and she has 18 and some change now, getting ready for our first big trip next summer, seattle to phoenix via boise idaho, and back again! well every body keep it Rubber Side Down

I bought a 1980 CB900C about three years ago. Has the fairing and three travel boxes. Though it has over 60,000 miles on it, the thing simply refuses to die. To return the favor it has given me over the years (being a good bike), I tore down the engine, put in new rings, honed it out, put in new seals, painted the engine and pipes black, and the tank, fairing, and boxes glossy midnight blue. Now it looks sweet and runs sweeter! Nothing beats a rice burner.

Hi hi - great site !! Am the very happy owner of a cb750 Custom (can't get the 900 and 1000 in Denmark). My machine was first time reg. 31.12.1984 in Italy, came to Denmark in 1996 and I owned it for 2 years now. 36000 km on the clock. Not selling the machine before the day I can't crawl onto it anymore. Hi hi and have a great time.

Love my 1980 900 Custom. I love the split shifter and the great handling of the bike. Im looking for a set of original exhaust pipes in good condition. Anyone have any search ideas? Also need tunes. Keep your knees in the breeze!

Nice Pics...I am riding an 82 Cb900C, and love it. I picked up this bike for a couple hundred bucks(Running). I have ridden everyday since I got it. Currently working to make her look good again, as the guy I got it from had it in the weather. Stay in the wind and ride forever.

Hey ! 1982 CB900Custom 14,500 mi never been crashed .. garage kept great to ride. CD player with newer tires and paint in great shape. This is one of the most fun bikes I have had 2 ride. I Owned a 81 Lowrider HD and a 81 Sportster but this was the bike that was the most fun to ride .. The lower fairing that I bought also adds on to keep your lower legs warm in off season is nice too also has an adustable backrest to adjust for 1 rider as well.. has the split transmission with the high/low shifter so if you pull a trailer or go in the mountains you can always hit the perfect gear. I will part with this bike as I am getting too old to ride it seems ..first $1900.00 takes all !!

Hi there,I am from Malta-Europe and I have the 1980 model and after 23 years it still in very good condition. I own it for these last nine years and I got it from US through a bike dealer. It is nice to know that there are others who belong this model and it would be nice to hear from someone. Although there are many other new models, I won't change mine with recent custom models. My bike is the only one in Malta.

Im picking up a CB900 in mid october, it belongs to my dad, he is passing it down to me, i have had a few bikes, but im looking forward to this one, it has 1300 original miles on it, and is in showroom shape. Not sure if my wife will let me keep it , or sell it..I will post a pic as soon as i pick it up.. any comments email me..

Thought I'd tell you what great taste you have in bikes. As the owner of a 1980 900 I should know. Keep it in the wind and remember.......... anyone can go buy a new bike............ it takes a true rider to keep an old one on the road.

I love to see that somebody else likes the 900 custom. I had mine for seven years and I never had a car at that time. only my custom! I had calfia ferring with sterio and cb antennas behind it. those were great times wich I will not ever forget. thanks for the pics. cb 900 forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got my husband a 1982 CB900C. I got it at a towing yard for $450. It smoked a little and sounds like maybe it has an exaust leak, and it needs a new battery... The odomiter says 32000... I am assuming because it doesn't go to 100,000 that it probably has 132,000 on it. I think I got a pretty good deal, Problem is we don't know to much about bikes so if you have any suggestions as to fixing it up a little that would REALLY be GREAT!!! I am glad I was able to see what other people thought of that type of bike befor I got it... He doesn't know I got it for him yet... I hope he loves it just as much as all of you! Nice to see others appreciate this bike. I am the original owner of an 82' CB900 Custom. Still looks like it did when I first saw it on the show room floor. Don't have the long distance rear I used to but I still enjoy day trips on this great bike.

Nice to see the pictures. I have a 82 CB900 same colors. Shortly after I bought it in 1992 I drove across Canada from Victoria BC to Sydney, Nova Scotia. Then back through Maine across the US to Seattle then back to Victoria. The bike ran great in all weather conditions (even ran into some snow) and the only maintenance was oil changes. I still ride it but no trips like that since. It is nice to see that others are still appreciating this bike.

Suprise, A CB900 custom across the pond in England. Now in lots of bits due to cam chain adjuster problems, then bent valves due to crappy rebuild (blame me for being to eager to get her running again). Thinking about rebuilding her - any ideas. Parts are scarce here & expansive (£1500 for exhaust system from Honda UK). As far as I know bike is standard (for 1982) except hard luggage & Goldwing (type) faring. Hey, great gallery. I'm living in Southeast Asia but get back to Montreal every summer for a visit and I always replate my 1980 CB900 Custom for a few weeks of road work. Bought my beast two years ago with 70,000kms (42,000) on it. Broke her in on a two week 5500km (3,300 m) ride down the Skyline Drive and Smokies to Memphis and then south to Alabama before poniting her home. Last summer I bungied my sweety to the back and headed for Canadian Maritimes. Guess the point is that the CB is versatile as hell, comfy with a half-shield and, after 22 years will still sit on a ton for eight hours a day and come back for more. I've owned a lot of bikes but Honda got it right the firs time with this one.

i bought a cb 900 for $600 canadian in perfect condition in some guys shed he said it just didnt r un anymore so i took it home put a charge on the battery put new gas in the carbs and it started like a charm. then i took the tires off cut the frame at the rear end and front so it was just the engine and the housing then welded it together with a frame i had made and made a suite dune buggie.

Hi... I'm not an owner of cb900 custom, but I have a friend who has '82 CB900C, and I had a ride on it. It's great, taking into account, that he made a streetfighter. He made it on his own. Great site, Good to hear others love their bikes as much as me. Mines a 82 CB900 Custom. I just bought it in May from the 2nd owner. I still ride my CB900C [bought it new] and it still runs like a charm.They remind me of the trips my wife and I have taken, all the gear 'bungeed' to the frame ...sheeesh! Thanks for sharing your great pics. Best wishes Mike

Cool! I have a 1981 900 Custom also, and think it's the nicest bike I've ever had. Two summers ago, I took off from my home in west Tennessee, rode to St. Louis, then proceeded to follow the Missouri river all the way to its source in Three Forks, Montana. Then, I headed for home dropping down through Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, across Kansas and Missouri, then back to Tennessee. A little over 5,000 miles total, and every one of them pure pleasure. The trip took fifteen days, and it was glorious sunshine the whole time. I camped mostly, but stayed in some hotels too. The bike was incredible. Completely comfortable, looks great, never wears you out, and well, you know. Your picture on the highway outside of Needles took me back to the fall of 1978. Different bike, but another awesome ride. That one started in western Colorado, down through Utah to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, across that desert in California, over the mountains into L.A., then up the coastal highway all the way home to my folks in Seattle. I'll never forget that ride up the coast that October, and your picture transported me right back there again. I appreciate the site, man, and ride safe!!
