4. The Huli Men Tribe

A warrior tribe, the Huli men still live in their old ways. Women are thought to sap a warrior's strength, so men live in separate houses from women and boy children are given to fathers' to raise at around 10 years old. All affairs between men and women occur in the garden constructed between the man and woman's house.

Their warrior paints change with the occasion, I captured a few.

The women are not allowed to be near the men, couldn't get many women photos except those walking on the road in the other section. Women and men live in separate houses and meet up in the garden between the two houses. Boy children are given to the men to raise after childhood. Women are not treated well here, in other regions of New Guinea they are.
