This is one of the nice parts of colombia!! Full of nice people, people you can learn from.
People who still care about more then their BMW!!! Of course there are parts with modern buildings, nice expensive cars, expensive dresses, full of people who just think which model of BMW or Mercedes Benz to buy next.So why go to Bogota if you want to see more Mc Donald restaurants and more expensive shoe shops? But for me this is a nice part of Bogota!!!
By the way this picture was taken from my hotel room. One of the best and warmest hotels I have ever been. (It was not called Hilton)

thanks for your comment.Indeed Bogota has a beautiful colonial area and some very nice parks and modern buildings.Of these there are plenty photo's on the internet,My pic's are mainly from the south of Bogota.The poorest,but also the most lively part of the city,where the people are warm and spontanous.I never got mugged in this part,not even at night when I went out to take pictures.Indeed this part is not characteristic for Bogota,but it is the part I like most. I gon't understand where it is that you tourists go when you are in Bogota, you show places where I don't even get how you don't get mugged; why the heck don't you people show the nice modern spots, there are planty, you know, stop showing the colonial parts, there are modern sectors as well, is like going to NY and showing how it looks in Harlem, or the Bronx...what the heck is wrong with all these pictures, I have not been in Colombia for a while, but I went to some nice preaty places, and I have heard that is gotten better.
I leave you with a sound suggenstion you take it or leave it.
