The Edison Home Model "D" Phonograph was introduced by the Edison Company in late 1908. The player was priced at $40 and was equipped with a straight 11 panel metal horn. Weight: 30 lbs. The quarter sawn oak cabinet measures 16½" x 9½" x 11½" high. The upper works and motor are fitted to a hinged wooden frame that can be opened for inspection. This model can play both 2 and 4 minute cylinders including wax and Blue Amberols (celluloid) depending on the reproducer type.
