Considered by many as the most beautiful fish in the world, certainly among the top 10. This pair were mating. The male being the smaller one. An act which occurs so fast, perhaps 2 seconds, that to capture it in a photograph is quiet challenging. I was lying on my belly on the ocean floor in the dark (night dive) waiting for a pair to link up then as they do they shoot upward out of the coral rubble and swim straight up for about 12 inches and rapidly break apart. In that very short span of time one has to shine a flashlight on them in order for the camera to adequately focus and rapidly make the shot. It's a chance of luck and timing. Even better when you end up with a face shot.
