The more senior-friendly, family-friendly sister town of Cancun, 60 km to the south. Cancun is too big, too spreading out while Playa Del Carmen is more compact, so it gives you more cozy feeling. All the beaches are within one hour walk. The wonderful walking street 5th Ave. is a rare find. It's kind of Pattaya (Thailand) without distasteful sex industry scenes.
