Margaret Bridge (Margit hid) in the background. Margaret Bridge is the second permanent bridge in Budapest built between 1872 and 1876 based on the plans of a French architect, Ernest Gouin. There is an embranchment from the middle pillar onto Margaret Island - the only section of the bridge still maintaining the original structure.
