This square is the current centrepiece of the Castle District featuring a monumental Holy Trinity statue, the discreetly reserved old Buda City Hall, and the world famous Matthias Church. The Holy Trinity statue (Szentharomsag szobor), another one of the 'plague pillars' put up by the grateful, healthy citizens in the early 18th century.
