Shane - This image was captured using a 20D. The DOF was increased by using a small aperture of f/16. To light this little spider, I used a Canon 550EX flash on a Stroboframe Quickflip 350 flash bracket with a NRG 05902 multi-mount bracket attached to it, to bring the flash up off the camera. The mounting bracket allows you to tilt and rotate the flash, so that I got perfect light to illuminate the spider.

I missed an opportunity to buy that lens and I have regretted it ever since. Great shot, plenty of detail, reasonable DOF as well.
