We didn't take the cameras out today due to crappy weather.
We did go for a walk to the local nature reserve.
Where we found a female Cardinal with an injured wing
We rescued her after a bit of complaining by her
And a bit finger for me - those beaks pack a wallop!
She is upstairs in a box, in a dark, quiet room
Waiting for the avian rescue people to call me back
And schedule a pickup in the morning.

Update: The little lady didn't survive the night. There must have been more wrong with her than an injured wing. :(
