Genie 1922-2015

For my dear friend and mentor, Dr. Eugenie Clark has passed away.
Genie taught us all so much about the sea and its treasures. A wonderful friend to my family and the Red Sea and an inspiration to generations of divers and sea lovers.

My respect, admiration and delayed condolences. I'm just a humble Spanish dive instr, who has dived professionally for a decade and a half in the Maldives. I've seen things but you people are, real miths. Real pioneers. You've seen the Red Sea at seventies... The Naama bay picture left me speechless. OMG!! This is a beautiful gallery for what it represents.

Hello all. I am deeply saddened to learn of Genie's passing. What a wonderful woman she was and her memory still is one of wonder and love. I pray she rests in peace with all her shark friends. I'll never forget diving with Genie in the Red Sea, the Sea of Cortez and Key Largo.

Thanks Howard for a fine collection that certainly brings me back to the time with Genie and the Fantasea and Sinai. Genie lives on in the memories all of us who loved her. Simon Nemtzov.
