In honor of ... US troops stationed globally, as well as Veterans sacrifices.
I am thankful for the freedoms I have and the many blessings in my life.
May we know peace in my lifetime.

Lately, I've been working on my family tree.
This is my great-great grandmother.
I understand that she came over from Ireland.
The Captain of the ship was asked by her Father to have her picture taken immediately upon landing in NYC.
This is that picture.
(The original was very dark. I was able to smooth it & lighten it alittle bit .)
Hope you like it!

My parents leaning against the hood of my Daddy's Vette!
The story goes...they sold it & bought "The Inn".
"The Inn" was a bar & boarding house in the neighboring town.
Forty-seven years ago today my parents were married.
They are still together & in love.
Congratulations, Mom & Dad!
UPDATE: This is my great-great Grandfather on my Father's side.
He was born in Ireland & came to USA at the age of 3 in 1851.
He was an expert stone man working slate quarries then later became a watchman for the D&H railroad.
My Aunt Pat tells me ... he became blind later in his life yet that didn't break his spirit or slow him down.
Apparently, he was quite a character.
