Those tiles are still there on the floor of the performance stage, seehttp://www.pbase.com/hjsteed/wsp_performance_stage_floor for some photos. The last I heard plans to renovate the park called for the destruction of this performance area for other venues.

These are splendid photos, they bring back fond memories of my time in the park as a child in the early 70's. Hard to imagine the "mounds" are still there. I remember participating in some kind of public art project with foot square tiles of cement anyone could press or put designs in, and they were installed on a raised area near the SE corner. Looks like that is gone.
