The NYU athletic center is located on Mercer Street and extends from Bleecker to Houston streets.

The current NYC/NYU Expansion Plan calls for the destruction of this block's athletic facilities, trees, gardens, playground facility, dog run & open skyline for a massive 6 tower NYU skyscraper complex as soon as the spring of 2015.
