University Heights was NYU's original campus with the noted Hall of Fame. In 1973, NYU sold the campus and established its main campus at Washington Square. Then the Bronx Community College established its campus at University Heights and restored the Hall of Fame & original McKim, Mead & White architectural treasures, notable the Library, Philosophy Hall and Hall of Languages buildings.
