Setup

CW direction:
1-.My web cam and the 2X Barlow in place
2-.My web cam with the Cemax barlow negative lens removed from its original barrel and threaded directly on the web cam adaptor ( working now as <2x Barlow)
3-. The web cam with the Barlow’s negative lens in place on my BF10.
4-. The web cam on the Maxcope ready to capture.

The magnification power from a Barlow can be variable, just changing the distance from the lens and the eyepiece the X can be changed, very useful. When I'd try to find the perfect combination between the correct magnification. and the minimal brightness possible with the web cam.

The direct focal projection don't show good surface detail.
It is needed to play with the Barlow. I use the Cemax 2x Barlow, but I have better result (in a 400 mm focal lenght telescope my Maxcope for example.)if I remove the negative lens with its gold surround and then put it on the barrel on the web cam, it have the same threat like an eyepiece filter. in that way the Barlow lens it's going to work like a 1.5x Barlow.
